Cabin Cleaner / Custodian needed at Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory in Colorado

Come spend your summer in the heart of the Rockies at a remote Biological Laboratory!! Gothic, Colorado is home to the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory, where scientists from across the nation spend their summers doing field research. We are just 3 miles from Crested Butte, CO, a world renowned mountain biking and hiking destination. We are seeking a full-time custodian to help clean around our field. This position includes housing on site and all meals at the dining hall, as well as $16-$18 / hour.

GENERAL DUTIES

• Participate in cabin opening and closing campaigns in the spring and fall, including deep cleaning and organizing.
• Day-to-day cleaning of field station facilities, including labs, shower house, and outhouses.
• Cleaning and sanitizing of cabins between stays.
• Organizing and re-stocking of supply closets.
• Diluting cleaning solution and refilling spray bottles.
• Washing, drying, and folding bed linens.
• Pest mitigation, with attention to ongoing research.
• Maintaining a weekly cleaning schedule and keeping a cleaning log.
